He is a very special male and sure to follow in his daddy’s footsteps in the showring! Just look at the presence!!! NEWSFLASH: Monti won 1st in his class out of 7 at the Heartland Show in Iowa!!!! 
Argentine Orion
Argentine Midas (ET) x Argentine Kaitlyn (ET) ILR pending DOB 5/26/10 Orion was hit hard with the Haemonchus worm this summer. We tried to save him & brought him up to the University of MN for treatment. Jenni Olson, who works there, generously brought in one of her female llamas so a blood transfusion could be done. For 48 hours Orion rallied, improving each day, until after 2 days, when he finally succumbed, We sadly said good-bye to one of our favorite llamas... ever. ------------------- We were lucky to find a perfect argentine male @ Carothers Country Farm-Orion! He is solid white, which is rare in argentines, and he is on the smaller side, which we love. But his value is more in his bloodlines, than in his size. Kaitlyn is a perfect mom & his sire, Midas, has rare bloodlines from Arg. Oberon. We will have to wait awhile to put him to his official work, but in the meantime his sweet demeanor will be an asset as we'll use him next summer in the local 4-H program. 
Argentine Cha Cha Cha Argentine Tico x Argentine Marimba ILR pending DOB 9-9-09 Our most recent purchase is full argentine female-Cha Cha Cha. She is a strong girl evidenced by the fact that she lost her mother at 2 days of age & Lynda Carothers was able to find another female who took her on as her own. She has grown well and now her original black has lightened to brown tones. Too young yet for breeding, we will see about next fall. She also may enter the 4-H program for this summer. Thanks to Lynda & Gary & Ann McCright for selling this beautiful girl to us! |
